As many people often ask, “Is NSHSS real?" The answer is yes. NSHSS is a legitimate organization founded in 2002 by Claes Nobel, a senior member of the Nobel Prize family. NSHSS is an international honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence among high-achieving high school students worldwide.

NSHSS awards hundreds of scholarships each year, but the competition is steep. Most NSHSS scholarship programs only award a few outstanding students and may receive hundreds of applications.

The most significant benefit of membership is the NSHSS events and webinars. Common webinar topics include college test prep, insider perspectives on college admissions and campus life, career panelists for specific areas of study or organizations of interest, and information on paying for college.

Qualified students who have been identified as meeting at least one NSHSS eligibility requirement may receive an invitation letter from the Society. You must be selected for membership to join the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS).
